Weekend-long Gospel Jamboree kicks off

Ivan Chartrand kicks off the Gathering of Nations of Gospel Music and Healing Gospel Jamboree shortly after noon on Friday at the Parkland Hall, at the southwest corner of 15th Street West and Ninth Avenue. The weekend long event is scheduled to continue at noon on both Saturday and Sunday, continuing into the early evening both nights.

Continuing the show with a cover of the Larry Gatlin gospel song “Help Me,” popularized by Johnny Cash, the tone for the weekend was set.

The Gathering of Nations of Gospel Music and Healing is set to continue through to the early evening.

It’ll re-start at noon on both Saturday and Sunday, and continue into the early evening on both days.

The weekend-long event is free of charge, anyone interested in showing up encouraged to do so.

Parkland Hall is located at the southwest corner of 15th Street West and Ninth Avenue.
