North Battleford RCMP

At 1:20 a.m. on August 6, 2014, North Battleford RCMP responded to a robbery complaint on St. Laurent Drive in North Battleford   The victim reported being confronted by two males near his residence.  One male displayed a knife and made demands for cash from the victim before the two males fled the residence empty handed.  No one was injured in the incident.  RCMP conducted an extensive search of the area and investigation resulted in two suspects being arrested shortly after 2:00 a.m.


The two males, one adult and one youth, both of North Battleford are in custody and will appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on August 7, 2014 at 9:30 a.m.

Missing Person Located


Lloydminster, Alberta- Lisa Parkhurst,, who was reported missing since July 29, 2014, was located yesterday evening in good health.  "We had lots of good tips that led to her being located.  We want to thank the public who called in." Says Cst KIRZINGER



Milestone RCMP


05:30 a.m.


Shortly before 6 pm on Tuesday, August 5th, RCMP in Milestone received a report of a two vehicle collision approximately 6 km north of Yellow Grass on Highway #39.  The collision involved a northbound Mazda and a southbound Semi; both being drive by sole occupants.  The driver of the semi was unhurt.  The driver of the Mazda was treated at the scene by both EMS & STARS personnel but was declared deceased a short time after the collision.


The deceased is a 20 year old male from Lang, SK.  Next of kin of the deceased has been notified but permission has not been received to release the name of the deceased.  The driver of the semi is a 24 year old male from South Carolina.  Traffic was diverted at the scene for several hours to allow first responders, including an RCMP traffic re-constructionist, to complete their work.  CP Police was also notified as the semi-trailer ended up adjacent to the railroad tracks resulting in trains being unable to travel in either direction until the semi was towed from the scene.  Traffic in both directions remained diverted throughout the evening until the scene was clear.


Assisting at the scene were the following:  RCMP Capital Traffic Services, CP Police, RCMP Milestone, Yellow Grass Fire Dept, Provincial Coroner, Weyburn EMS, STARS as well as RCMP victim services.





2014-08-05  7:30 p.m.


Members of the Milestone Detachment and Capital Region Traffic Services are currently on scene of a fatal, two vehicle motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway #39 just west of Yellowgrass, SK.  The collision involved a Semi Tractor Trailer and a Mazda3.  The 20 year old male occupant in the Mazda3 succumbed to his injuries at the scene.  The lone occupant of the Semi was examined at scene by ambulance staff and released.


Names will not be released due to pending family notifications.


Traffic is being redirected at this time we ask motorist to expect delays for the next couple of hours.


The matter is still under investigation.
