Pierceland RCMP 



On June 14th, 2014 at approximately 2:20 am, Pierceland RCMP were advised of a single vehicle rollover that had occurred on Hwy# 55 approximately 1/2 mile east of the Alberta / Saskatchewan border.

Upon attending the scene, it was learned that a 2004 GMC pickup was driving westbound on the highway when it lost control and rolled multiple times.

The 26 year old male driver and 27 year old male passenger were transported to the Cold Lake Health Centre. The driver was later released while the passenger was transported to the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton with what were reported as serious injuries.

Yesterday, Adam Houston from Calgary, Alberta succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation into this matter is continuing and charges against the 26 year old driver (also from Calgary), are pending.


Wadena/Foam Lake RCMP

1:30 p.m.


On Monday, June 16, 2014, at 01:46 p.m. Wadena and Foam Lake RCMP responded to a report of a structure fire in Sheho, Saskatchewan approximately 69 kilometers northeast of Yorkton.


The owner of the garage / shop situated on the #16 Hwy at Sheho was inside the living quarters in the shop when the door suddenly slammed shut. He was made aware of the fire when he opened the shop door and observed a wall of black smoke. Foam Lake Fire Department, EMS and Wadena / Foam Lake RCMP responded.  


The garage and shop were totally engulfed and destroyed by the fire.


The Foam Lake Fire Department reports that the exact cause of the fire is undetermined at this time however the cause has been deemed non-suspicious.


The garage owner is safe and escaped without injury.





Nipawin RCMP


3:55 p.m.


On Sunday, June 15, 2014, at approximately 5:15 a.m., Nipawin RCMP responded to a call of an assault at a residence on Kingsway Drive within the community of Nipawin, Saskatchewan. Upon arrival, RCMP discovered a 29-year-old male resident of the home suffering from severe head injuries.


The male was transported by EMS to Nipawin Hospital and later air lifted to hospital in Saskatoon with what are reported to be life-threatening injuries.


34-year-old Cynthia Kitchemonia and 40-year-old William Bignell, both of Kamsack, Saskatchewan, were located at another residence in Nipawin and were arrested without incident.


Kitchemonia and Bignell are each charged with:


·         one count of break and enter and did commit aggravated assault, section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada

·         one count of aggravated assault, section 268 of the Criminal Code of Canada


Kitchemonia and Bignell appeared in Melfort Provincial Court on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. Kitchemonia will appear in Melfort Provincial Court on Thursday, June 19 at 10:00 a.m. and Bignell will appear in Nipawin Provincial Court on Wednesday, June 18 at 10:00 a.m.


A third male suspect has been taken into custody and charges are pending.


The investigation into this incident is ongoing with the assistance of RCMP Major Crime Unit North and Tisdale RCMP Forensic Identification Section.


Alcohol is considered a factor in this incident.




La Loche RCMP


10:40 a.m.


On Sunday, June 15, 2014, at approximately 11:20 p.m., La Loche RCMP responded to a complaint of an ATV rollover on La Loche Avenue near the creek in La Loche.


Investigation has revealed that a 37-year-old female and a 37-year-old male from La Loche were traveling on a quad trail when the ATV they were on malfunctioned and its front wheels locked. Both individuals went over the ATV handlebars.


Both individuals were transported by EMS to La Loche Hospital with what were reported to be serious injuries.


Alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the incident. Neither rider was wearing a helmet.  Charges are not being considered.



Bengough RCMP


2014-06-16 0730


Sometime between 10:00 PM Friday June 6th and 7:00 am on Saturday June 7th, 2014, the Bengough public pool office was broken into.  The culprit(s) gained entry by hopping the fence, and then forcing open the window to the office.  The office was damaged and a mess left behind.    This matter is still under investigation by Coronach RCMP.

North Battleford RCMP

Over 25 calls for service/occurrences reported including 8 traffic related occurrences, 2 false/nuisance 911 calls, 1 Child custody agreement complaint, 3 Municipal bylaw/Noise complaint,



922 am - Call of unwanted intoxicated persons at a home on 110th Street.  Home cleared of unwanted persons.


1127 am - White 2007 Dodge Ram with Saskatchewan License 678 IQI stolen from 1400 block of 109th Street some time between 2 am and time of complaint.


1243 pm - Two vehicle collision at intersection of 13th Avenue and 101st Street.  One vehicle had to be towed from the scene.  Minor injuries reported to one of the drivers.  Cause of collision remains under investigation.


221 pm - 26 year old male arrested after complaint of intoxicated male sleeping on a lawn o 104th Street.


300 pm - Assault reported at this time, having occurred 2 days prior.


441 pm - 48 yer old male arrested for public intoxication on 11th Avenue, located by patrolling members.


830 pm - Call to Centennial Crescent for a disturbance.  Complainants sister attended residence and refused to leave, then proceeded to through a flower pot against the house and hit a vehicle with a 2 x 4.  Investigation ongoing.


917 pm - Two 14 year old youth reported missing from a group home, both returned on their own several hours later.


925 pm - Complaint of ongoing harassment from two other subjects.


937 pm - Attempted theft of a bike from a yard on Trudeau Street.  Bike was recovered.  Suspects have been identified, investigation ongoing.



115 am - 53 year old woman arrested and charged with Failing to Comply with No Alcohol condition of an Undertaking.  Located very intoxicated on Railway Avenue East.


305 am - Report of suspicious person on 17th Avenue checking out vehicles.  15 year old male located and facing charges of Failing to Comply with Probation.  Investigation ongoing.
