2014 June 5 230 pm
Approximately 70 calls for service over the last two days, including 6 false alarms, 9 traffic related complaint/occurrences, 3 false/nuisance 911 calls, 5 Municipal bylaw/noise complaints.
6:16 am - Complaint of a neighbour threatening complainants dogs. Matter mediated.
835 am - Vehicle parked on 1700 block of 98th Street had a window damaged overnight.
934 am - Complaint of ongoing threats/harassment between individuals.
954 am - Fence compound damaged at a business on 99th Street, nothing appears to have been taken.
1258 pm - Report of very intoxicated males yelling at people on 101st Street. 34 year old male arrested and charged with Public Intoxication. 45 year old male also arrested for Public Intoxication as well as several other outstanding warrants.
129 pm - 32 year old woman arrested and charged with Theft Under $5,000 after shoplifting complaint at a business on Railway Avenue East.
406 pm - Report of a 14 year old youth now unlawfully at large after failing to return to custody facility after school. Charges laid and subject remains at large.
419 pm - Intoxicated woman asked to leave an address on 105th Street but would not, so members attended and arrested her. 49 year old woman held in custody until sober.
534 pm - Complaint of an assault at a residence on 12th Avenue. Victim and suspect known to each other, suspect already gone from scene upon members's arrival. 30 year old male currently wanted on Assault charge.
624 pm - 65 year old male arrested for Public Intoxication on 100th Street.
756 pm - 53 year old female arrested and charged for Public Intoxication on 101st Street.
224 am - Report of gunshots fired inside a residence on the 1200 block of 103rd Street. No one injured in incident. Preliminary investigation indicates a television was damaged in the incident. A male was arrested a few hours after the incident and has since been released without charges. Investigation is not receiving forthcoming information from the occupant of the home in question. Investigation is ongoing.
247 am - Unwanted, intoxicated woman at a residence on 105th Street. Subject transported to a sober relative's home for the night to keep the peace.
951 am - Theft of gas from a business on Battleford Road.
1150 am - Report of break and enter to a residence on 108th Street, occurring some time over previous 2 days.
1237 pm - 34 year old woman arrested for public intoxication on 14th Avenue.
125 pm - Report of missing 12 year old boy, subject located in the evening.
141 pm - 41 year old woman arrested for public intoxication on 101st Street after complaint of person(s) bothering people.
324 pm - Complaint of domestic dispute on Killdeer Drive. Matter remains under investigation.
450 pm - Jermayn MORNINGCHILD, 18, of Loon Lake area, reported missing, last seen on 107th Street. No clothing description available, subject described as 6'2", 170lbs, slender, with black hair and brown eyes. All initial attempts to locate have not been successful to this point.
556 pm - 47 year old woman arrested and charged with Failing to Comply with an Undertaking, found extremely intoxicated on 15th Avenue.
727 pm - 52 year old man arrested for public intoxication on Railway Avenue East.
840 pm - 24 year old male arrested and charged with Possession of Marihuana and Driving an unregistered vehicle after a stop on 110th Street.
905 pm - Report of a fraudulent bank transaction.
945 pm - Ongoing harassment issues between two individuals, investigation ongoing.
1003 pm - Report of theft of electronics, suspect known to complainant. Investigation ongoing.
1242 am - Vehicle found damaged on St Laurent Drive, after apparent unsuccessful attempt to steal. A stolen quad recovered near scene as well.
Further to the previous media releases sent as noted below...
On June 4, 2014, the 78 year old male passenger of the Chrysler Intrepid had passed away in hospital as a result of his injuries. The name of the passenger is not being released at this time.
The RCMP's investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
Further to the previously sent media release, here are the details of the accident which occurred last night:
At approximately 5:25 pm, Weyburn RCMP along with Fire and EMS were called to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Hwy #39 and the Weyburn Inland Terminal access road south of Weyburn. Investigation revealed that a 2002 Chrysler Intrepid had proceeded from the access road when unsafe to do so and was struck by a 2006 Toyota Tacoma which was driving SE on Hwy #39.
The Intrepid was occupied by a 26 year old male from Alberta who was the driver and a 78 year old male passenger from Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Both occupants were injured as a result of the accident. The 78 year old male was ejected from the vehicle and sustained what were reported to be serious injuries. He was airlifted by STARS to Regina for treatment where he remains at this time. The 26 yr old driver was also taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.
The Tacoma was driven by a 56 year old male from Midale, Saskatchewan and was taken to Weyburn Hospital for medical treatment and has since been released.
A collision analyst also attended last night to the scene assisting with the investigation which is still ongoing.
The highway was reopened to traffic without restrictions at 9:44 pm.
Members of the Weyburn det are on scene of a two vehicle mvc at hwy 39 and 22 street on the south side of Weyburn.
The highway will be closed for the next couple hours.
