North Battleford RCMP
2014 May 12 1110 pm
Saskatoon Police Service, in partnership with North Battleford RCMP, were able to locate and arrest 26 year old, Martin NIGHT, earlier this evening in Saskatoon. NIGHT is being remanded into custody and will brought to court in North Battleford on Thursday, May 15th, 2014 at 9:30 A.M. to deal with the armed robbery charge.
Thank you to the members of Saskatoon Police Service for their assistance in apprehending NIGHT.
2014 May 7 815pm
North Battleford RCMP have charged Martin NIGHT, 26 with Robbery in connection with the attached matter. A warrant for his arrest has been attained and his current whereabouts are still unknown. Investigation is ongoing.
2014 May 6 830 am
North Battleford RCMP are investigating a complaint of an Armed Robbery which occurred at a business on the 2000 block of 100th Street shortly before 10 pm on Monday May 5th. The suspect produced a knife and demanded cash. He fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money on foot. No employees/customers were injured during the altercation. Find attached three photos of the male suspect in this matter, and the investigation is ongoing. Parental abduction of two girls
Vulcan, Alberta - On May 12, 2014, at approximately 10:45 am, Vulcan RCMP Detachment officers were dispatched to an elementary school in the hamlet of Brandt near Vulcan, Alberta to investigate what appear to be a parental abduction. Officers were informed that the two sisters, Telisha and Taya MEISEL would have snuck out of school and met with their biological mother, Trina MEISEL, 48-year-old woman who does not have legal guardianship of the children.
Telisha MEISEL is 12 years old, long blond wavy hair and wearing a turquoise green sweater, a grey stripped t-shirt and blue jeans, and Taya MEISEL, 6 years old, also has long blond wavy hair and wearing prescription glasses. It is believe the mother and daughters would be traveling in a 2007 black Honda CRV, Alberta licence ORNRSE.
Investigators do not believe the children are in immediate danger however believe they have been taken either to Saskatchewan or Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

Battlefords Rural RCMP

Media Release - Fatal Single Vehicle Collision - Hwy 16, about 15 KM west of Battleford, Sask
At about 2:50 p.m. on May 12, 2014, Battlefords Rural RCMP responded to a report of a single vehicle collision about 15 kilometers west of Battleford on Highway 16 towards Lloydminster. A Dodge SX (Neon) travelling westbound left the travelled portion of the highway, striking the railroad crossing post head on. The lone occupant, 21 year old female driver of Saskatoon, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The name of the deceased is not being released at the request of the family. An RCMP Collision Reconstructions, Battlefords Fire Department and WPD Ambulance attended the scene. At this time emergency crews are clear of the scene and the highway is open to traffic.
North Battleford RCMP
RCMP members are currently on scene of a single fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway #16, approximately 10 miles west of North Battleford.
As more information becomes available, further updates will be provided. An RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist is currently at the scene. RCMP advises that if driving in the area, please expect delays. Please slow to 60km/hr when passing emergency vehicles.
Broadview RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a female reported missing from the Broadview area. 20-year-old Tasha Longjohn was last seen walking away from her family’s rural residence near Broadview on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at approximately 4:30 p.m. Investigation has revealed that Tasha may be traveling to Regina, Saskatoon or Prince Albert.
Family members conducted a preliminary ground search in the area where Tasha was last seen, but she was not located.
Tasha is an aboriginal female; 4 feet, 11 inches tall; 99 pounds; with brown eyes and brown collar-length hair. Tasha was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black hooded sweatshirt and black jacket with black pants, pink and black running shoes, and a red wool cap. Tasha appears closer to 14-15 years of age due to her small build. Tasha has no eyebrows and has a small scar above her right eye.
Tasha has a health condition and her family is concerned for her well-being.

Assault With a Weapon
On May 10th, 2014 the Lloydminster Municipal RCMP received a call of an assault with a weapon in the area of the 5200 Block of 50 Street. A white 2011 Suzuki Kizashi with Alberta plate BLF 2646 fled the scene which resulted in a brief pursuit within the City of Lloydminster. It was believed that the occupants of the vehicle could be armed and dangerous. This matter is still under investigation.

On Saturday, May 10 between midnight and 4:00 a.m. members of the Warman RCMP conducted a Checkstop Operation on Highway 12 in the northbound lanes, north of the Highway 11 overpass. Numerous officers from the Warman and Martensville RCMP were utilised as a part of Operation Overdrive, a province wide initiative to reduce impaired driving. Approximately 450 vehicles were checked.
In the first hour of operation the Checkstop was responsible for the arrests of 6 impaired drivers. One other motorist was issued with a 24 hour driving licence suspension. Charged were: a 22 year old Martensville man, a 26 year old Martensville man, a 22 year old Saskatoon man, a 40 year old Waldheim man, a 54 year old Saskatoon woman and one other man. A Martensville woman had her licence suspended for 24 hours. All of the charged subjects were released for court dates in June.
Those people charged with impaired driving had their driver's licences suspended for 90 days and their vehicles towed.
Warman RCMP will continue to conduct Checkstops throughout the spring and summer months in an ongoing effort to reduce the impact of impaired driving on our highways. Operation Overdrive is an SGI sponsored initiative that utilizes off-duty officers on overtime to conduct Checkstops and patrols for impaired drivers.

632 am - Break and enter to a vacant home on 1400 block of 104th Street.
230 pm - 45 year old woman arrested and charged with Public Intoxication located by patrolling members near 104th Street and 9th Avenue.
351 pm - Report of suspicious youth hanging around a closed business. Two youth located by members in area. No damage reported, investigation ongoing.
355 pm - Intoxicated people fighting and causing problems at a home on 104th Street. Two 22 year old males arrested for Breach of the Peace and held until sober. A 21 year old male also arrested on outstanding warrants and facing new charges of Mischief, and Failing to Comply with an Undertaking X 2.
605 pm - Four subjects, 44 year old man, 54, 53 and 41 year old women, arrested and all charged with Public Intoxication, located by patrolling members on 101st Street.
1052 pm - 19 year old male facing charge with Failing to Comply with Undertaking, for violation of his electronic monitoring. Alarm activated at a residence on Laurier Crescent and subject not located at required place of residence. Warrant for arrest to be sought.
444 am - 18 year old woman arrested on outstanding warrants from Prince Albert Police Service after traffic stop on St Laurent Drive. Also facing new charges of Driving without a License. 35 year old passenger also arrested and charged under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act and held in custody until sober.
