Humboldt RCMP


3:50 p.m.

At approximately 9:20 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, Humboldt RCMP responded to a complaint of a single motor vehicle collision involving a tractor on a rural road 3.2 kilometers west of Burr, Saskatchewan (approximately 10 miles south of Humboldt).

A 19-year-old male from Muenster, Saskatchewan, was traveling west on a grid road when the bucket on the front end loader he was driving came in contact with the road. He was ejected from the tractor through the side cab door.

A passing motorist came across the scene and called 911. Humboldt EMS, Fire Services and RCMP responded and declared the male deceased.

The incident is not considered suspicious or criminal in nature. Investigation into the incident has been turned over to Occupational Health and Safety. The family of the deceased male has been notified and his name will not be released at this time.

Over 30 calls for service/occurrences reported.  4 traffic related complaints.  4 Noise/Bylaw complaints.  1 False/nuisance 911 call.



1021am - Satellite radio stolen from a vehicle parked on Martin Crescent overnight.


1035am - 13 year old female reported missing, last seen 6pm previous night.  Located by members at an address on 104th Street and returned home.


1214pm - Vehicle parked on Douglas Avenue gone through during night, small amount of money taken.


1221pm - Same 13 year old female reported missing again, this time along with her 15 year old sister.  Located a short time later by members again and returned home.


1233pm - Mischief to a window of a business on 100th Street, front window damaged.


220pm - Three youth offenders Unlawfully at Large from Youth Facility.  Ran from staff while on escorted leave.  Last scene in area of 8th Avenue and 99th Street.  Three youths, ages 13, 16 and 17 are all from the North Battleford area.


719pm - Report of an assault on 111th Street.  No injuries.  All parties known to each other, and complainants then advised they wanted no police actions taken.


808pm - Break in to a residence on 1100 block of 111th Street, some time during weekend.


825pm - 41 year old male arrested for Public Intoxication after report of male sleeping off Carlton Trail.


915pm - 53 year old female arrested for Public Intoxication on Railway Avenue East, after going into a restaurant and trying to take food from some customers tables.  Located outside and arrested without incident.


925pm - 50 year old male arrested for Public Intoxication after another report of a male sleeping near Carlton Trail.


939pm - 15 year old male reported missing from group home.  Located by members at a residence in city shortly after midnight and returned.



105am - Report of home on Bowers Drive having eggs thrown at it.


121am - Harassing phone calls being received by subject known to complainant.  Ongoing issue.


531am - Vehicle parked on 2000 block of 96th Street had side window damaged overnight.
