On February 3rd, 2014, the Saskatchewan SPCA received a complaint relating to the inadequate care of sheep on a farm in the rural municipality of Key West, approximately 30 kilometers north of Bengough. As a result of this complaint, on February 13, 2014, the Bengough RCMP assisted the Saskatchewan SPCA with their investigation. The Saskatchewan SPCA seized over 800 sheep and four dogs from the farm on April 1, 2014.
39-year-old Jian Min Liu of Moose Jaw has been charged with:
1 count of causing unnecessary suffering to sheep, contrary to Section 445.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
1 count of failure to provide adequate food and shelter for sheep, contrary to Section 446(1)(b) of the Criminal Code;
1 count of wilfully causing sheep to be in distress, contrary to Section 4(1) of the Animal Protection Act;
Jian Min LIU will appear in Assiniboia Provincial Court on June 12, 2014.
Kamsack RCMP were called to a report of an assault with a weapon outside a local business. Members arrived on scene along with Duck Mountain Ambulance Service and found a male victim bleeding from a head wound. The victim was able to identify his female attacker and Yorkton Police Dog Services was called to assist in locating the suspect, with negative results.
A warrant has since been issued for the arrest of 22 year old Ula WAPASH and it is believed that she is currently in the Regina area. Anyone with information on WAPASH's whereabouts is asked to call the Kamsack RCMP at 306-542-5560 or 306-310-RCMP (7267) or Crimestoppers at 1-800-667-8477.

Over 20 calls for service. 2 False alarms. 2 false/nuisance 911 calls. 6 traffic related complaints.
702am - Grey 1999 GMC Sierra with Saskatchewan License 115HVN reported stolen from 110th Street. Subject fell asleep at a party and it appears one of the persons at the residence helped themselves to the complainant's vehicle.
1001am - Ongoing harassment by an ex boyfriend reported.
1010am - 2 vehicles parked on 1800 block of 98th Street gone through previous evening.
119pm - Report of several intoxicated people on 101st Street fighting. 70 year old male and a 53 year old female who was apparently just "having a time" both arrested and held in custody until sober.
422pm - 48 year old male arrested and charged with Failing to Comply with an Undertaking, found sleeping in an alley off 101st Street and having consumed alcohol contrary to his released conditions on previous matters.
557pm - 911 call on 15th Avenue, complainant expressing concern that a man across the street was watching him every day at exactly the same time and that he might be fake. Alcohol believed to have played a significant factor in call.
712pm - Suspicious male on 105th Street who appears to be trying to enter a vacant home. Patrols negative and home found to be still secure.
748pm - Report of a hit and run on 100th Street. All subject located and found to be no injuries or damage to either vehicle.
755pm - Several youth starting a small field fire off 110th Street. All subject gone upon police arrival and fire was already extinguished.
955pm - Report of a suspicious male walking around in his underwear in alley off 1900 block of 98th Street. Subject not located.
1008pm - 911 call to a residence on 91st Street of people fighting. A 37 year old woman and a 25 year old man were both found to be extremely intoxicated and complainant advised were the ones causing issues. Both arrested and held in custody until sober.
1058pm - Complainant being harassed by ex and his new girlfriend. Investigation ongoing.
