Martensville RCMP

2014-04-06

8:30 p.m.

On this date, shortly after 7:00 p.m. (Saskatchewan time) RCMP members from Vermillion, Alberta located Daniel Ruskin of Osler outside the community of Vermillion.  Mr. Ruskin's family has been advised and he is no longer considered missing.  Thank you to the public for you assistance in locating Mr. Ruskin.

Milestone RCMP

Shortly after 6 a.m. on Saturday, April 5th, RCMP in Avonlea/ Milestone received a call of a two vehicle collision that occurred just North of the community of Yellow Grass, Sk on Highway #39.  The collision involved two vehicles:  A northbound white Semi Unit and a southbound yellow Pontiac 4 door car.

There was one occupant of the white Semi unit, who was unharmed during the collision.

The driver and sole occupant of the yellow Pontiac was airlifted by STARS to hospital in Regina where she remains. 

The circumstances of the collision are being investigated by the Milestone RCMP detachment with assistance from the RCMP Traffic re-constructionists out of Estevan.  Also assisting at the scene were members of the Yellow Grass and Weyburn Fire Dept. Weather conditions at the time of the collision were good with clear visibility.

Next of kin notification has been completed for the involved.

Warman RCMP

On April 4th, 2014 Warman RCMP were notified by family that Daniel RUSKIN of Osler, Sk did not return home from his place work in Hague, Sk on April 3rd, 2014. Last contact with RUSKIN was with his wife on April 3rd, 2014 at 2130 hrs and he was believed to be in the Martensville area.  At this time police and family have not been able to locate RUSKIN or his vehicle and are asking the public to assist in determining the whereabouts of RUSKIN and his vehicle.

Daniel RUSKIN is described as 31 years old, short brown hair and approximately 5'9" tall with a slender build. Last known to be wearing light brown dress shoes, tan coloured dress pants and a green North Face Jacket.

The vehicle is described as a 2014 Red Ford Fusion, bearing Saskatchewan License Plate 183GLC. 

Daniel RUSKIN is now believed to be in the Edmonton, Alberta area as of the evening of April 5th, 2014.

RCMP are requesting the public's assistance in locating Daniel Ruskin by calling the nearest RCMP Detachment or Police station if he is spotted.

Maidstone RCMP

Maidstone RCMP are currently investigating a single vehicle accident that occurred during the early morning hours of April 6, 20214 on Township Rd 490, near Lloydminster. A Ford pick up truck rolled several times after hitting an approach. The driver and lone occupant was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Speed and alcohol appear to be contributing factors in the accident. The investigation is continuing. The identity of the deceased is not being released at the request of the family.

North Battleford RCMP

2014 April 4 6:00 AM - 2014 April 5 6:00 AM

Approximately 49 calls for service. 4 nuisance/false 911 calls.

2014.04.04

06:32 am - Complaint of a loud party on the 1500 block of 105th street.  Property rep was spoken to and warned. 

07:20 am - Report of an erratic driver on highway 4 north bound into North Battleford.  Police patrols for the vehicle were unable to locate it.

07:49 am - Report of an abandon vehicle on Pioneer Ave. Investigation revealed that the vehicle was broken down an being repaired road side. 

09:19 am - Report of theft on 800 block of 108th street.  51 year old male victim reports that while socializing with friends one of them took his cell phone.  Alcohol is a factor and investigation is on going.

09:30 am - Police recovered a stolen vehicle located in the 1800 block of 100th street.  Vehicle had been reported stolen out of Saskatoon.  Vehicle was towed for police examination and further investigation.  registered owner has been notified.

10:11 am - Report that victims vehicle had been rummaged through sometime during the night on the 1300 block of 109th street. 

10:20 am - Report of hit and run on Territorial Drive.  Suspect vehicle unknown.

11:43 am - Report of a Break and Enter on the 1200 block of 99th street.  Unknown suspect(s) broke into the residence and cause a significant amount of damage.  Home owner is not sure at this time what, if any items have been stolen.  Police investigation is on going. 

2:00 pm - 34 year old female complainant attended RCMP Detachment to report that her 31 year old brother threaten to slap her.  Complainant wishes police to investigate and lay charges.  File is being investigated.

3:27 pm - Report of  theft of Gas which occurred at a local gas bar on Railway Ave.  Suspect vehicle is described as a brown coloured Toyota Corolla.  A licence plate was obtained and police are investigating.

3:45 pm - report of a house fire on the 2400 block of 100th street.  Police fire and ambulance all dispatched.  Police and Fire are still investigating

5:15 pm - Report of several intoxicated males on the 1000 block of 101st street getting into a vehicle.  Police investigation resulted in a 39 year old male being arrested for impaired driving.  Charges have been laid and the 39 year old male was released for court.

5:52 pm - Report of a missing 13 year old female.  Complainant went to pick the youth up from school and the youth was not at school.  The youth was located by police and returned home.

6:40 pm - Report of an erratic driver on Territorial Drive near King Hill.  Police were unable to locate the vehicle. 

7:33 pm - Report of 13 year old missing youth on the 1700 block of 110th street.  The youth was located by police and returned.

9:55 pm - Report of a small grass fire near 800 block of 109th street.  Fire had been distinguished before police and fire arrived.

10:11 pm - Report of a very intoxicated male on 101st street 900 block exposing himself.  77 year old intoxicated male arrested and charged. The 77 year old male has been remanded for court Monday April 7th.

11:22 pm - Report of two intoxicated males arguing and attempting to fight on 101 street 1100 block.   Police attended and resolved the issue.  Both men departed on their own.

11:42 pm - Report of unwanted intoxicated persons at residence on the 1600 block of 101st street.  Subjects departed on their own prior to police arriving.

11:45 pm - Report of an unwanted intoxicated 19 year old male at a residence located on 15th Ave. who had been threatening to harm himself.  Police attended and arrested the 19 year old male and he was held in custody until sober.  Police took the male to Hospital for examination where he was released.

12:03 am - Report of an unwanted intoxicated 33 year old male destroying residence on the 1800 block of 101st street.  Police attended and found that the 33 year old male on Probation with conditions for no alcohol.  The subject was arrested and held in custody.

12:43 am - Report of missing 14 year old male youth.  Youth was later located by family.

12:47 am - Report of unwanted intoxicated guess at a house party on the 800 block of 108th street.  Police attended and party was shut down.

1:38 am - Report of a possible impaired driver on Railway Ave near 101st street.  Patrols by police were unable to locate the suspect vehicle,

1:46 am - Report of intoxicated male subject laying on the road at the 900 block of 103rd street.  Police attended and arrested a 43 year old male for public intoxication. 

2:39 am - Report of several intoxicated persons causing loud noises near Clark Drive.  Police patrolled the area but were unable to locate any subjects.

Milestone RCMP - UPDATE

2014-04-05

5:30 p.m.

Shortly after 6 a.m. on Saturday, April 5th, RCMP in Avonlea/ Milestone received a call of a two vehicle collision that occurred just North of the community of Yellow Grass, Sk on Highway #39.  The collision involved two vehicles:  A northbound white Semi Unit and a southbound yellow Pontiac 4 door car.

There was one occupant of the white Semi unit, who was unharmed during the collision.

Milestone RCMP  

2014-04-05 Saturday 0900am  

Milestone rcmp member are currently at a motor vehicle collision north of the town of Yellowgrass on hwy #39. Both lanes of traffic have been shut down awaiting a traffic reconstructionist.

Traffic is attempted to be diverted around the scene.   Updates will be provided when traffic is re-opened and investigators can complete a more thorough media release.

Indian Head RCMP  

2014-04-04 9:10 p.m.  

The semi tractor unit has been moved and the Hwy is open.  Some roads are still icy and covered in snow.  Strong winds are contributing to the poor driving conditions.  Please drive according to the road conditions.    

 

2014-04-04 7:20 p.m.  

Indian Head members are on Hwy 1 near Sintuluta.  A semi is partially blocking the Eastbound lanes of Hwy 1.  Traffic has been reduced to one lane.  Additional reports are saying a second semi, between Grenfell and Wolseley, has been involved in a collision and is blocking both Eastbound lanes.  Department of Highways is on scene assisting police as they are tied up with other collisions in the area.  Expect delays in this area if you are traveling on Hwy 1.   Highway conditions are deteriorating.  Snow is blowing across the Hwy reducing visibility and creating ice on the surface of the road.  Please slow down and drive according to the road conditions if you are driving in this area.
