Blaine Lake RCMP

12:30 p.m.

On 2014 March 26 at 11:30 a.m., Blaine Lake RCMP were informed of a break and enter in progress after a homeowner discovered a male in his residence in the Town of Blaine Lake.  The suspects fled with items in a stolen white Dodge half ton with stolen Alberta license plates.   The suspects were located travelling westbound on Highway 40, west of Hafford and turned south down a gravel road.  Two suspects were apprehended after they drove down a dead-end road.  

One male adult, Darin Russel Gustafson (DOB: 1966-03-17), and one adult female, Rebecca Dawn Yaremko (DOB: 1988-02-20), were charged with numerous criminal code charges including break and enter, flight from police, possession of stolen vehicle, and numerous breaches of conditions.  Both individuals are from the Saskatoon area.  They have been remanded and will appear in Court in Saskatoon on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 9:00.

On Wednesday March 26, 2014, 31-year-old Kenneth Bruce Worme was charged with second degree murder (section 235(1) Criminal Code) in relation to the death of 27-year-old Shauna Maureen Welch of Moose Jaw.

 

Kenneth Bruce Worme remains in custody and will appear in Regina Provincial Court on Thursday, March 27 at 9:30 a.m.

27 calls for service.  2 Alarms, both false.  Several complaints relating to erratic driving.

716am - Ongoing harassment issues reported.  Investigation ongoing.

 

1034am - Vehicle parked on 1200 block of 107th Street broken into overnight.  Cash and tools missing.

 

158pm - Subject found in possession of marihuana on 8th Avenue.  Investigations still ongoing.

 

202pm - Storage shed on Meadow Lark Lane entered, several items missing.  Unsure of time of occurrence.

 

421pm - Report of ongoing harassment by text message.

 

435pm - 52 year old woman arrested after report of an intoxicated person passed out on the steps of a house on 108th Street.

 

442pm - Theft of gasoline from a business on Highway 16 Bypass.  Vehicle and driver/suspect have since been identified.

 

558pm - Two vehicle collision on Territorial Drive.  No injuries and all vehicles still safe to operate.  17 year old male driver of one vehicle was charged for Operating a vehicle without a license.

 

744pm - Report from a business of several intoxicated person refusing to leave.  Members located and arrested to males, ages 45 and 44, both held in custody until sober.

 

813pm - 47 year old woman and 44 year old male arrested on 103rd Street after a 911 dispatch to location reporting 2 very intoxicated people causing a scene.  Male also facing charges for violation of probation condition to abstain from alcohol.

 

924pm - Reported theft of gasoline, suspect payed a portion of outstanding bill then fled.  Male suspect driving a grey van.
