Weldon man hurt, Kinistino man charged after crash

A Kinistino man has been charged after a single vehicle rollover on Thursday south of Prince Albert that left a Weldon man seriously injured.

Prince Albert RCMP say a black dodge truck was travelling on Highway 3 when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled into the east ditch.

Parkland Ambulance said the 23-year-old male passenger from Weldon was transported by EMS to hospital in Prince Albert with serious injuries. He was later taken to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, where he remains.

There were no other injuries but the truck was badly damaged.

Brennan Riley Leonard, 22, of Kinistino, was arrested on scene. He is charged with the Criminal Offence of Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm.

Leonard made his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Friday morning. The investigation continues.
