This afternoon, Cutknife RCMP were advised of a 911 call for assistance relating to a small plane crashing.
At 1:01 pm, Emergency Services in Neilburg and Marsden responded to this call which occurred in the Rural Municipality of Manitou Lake approximately 15 kms SW of the community of Marsden, Sk.
The plane was a single occupant glider plane, and the 57 year old male pilot from Marsden, Sk received only minor injuries and was taken to hospital in Wainwright, AB.
The pilot of the glider plane had tried to make an emergency landing on a secondary road and in the process hit a power line in the area of the crash site which was on one of the RM roads.
The plane has since been pulled off the road and into a field close by. Transportation Safety Board has been advised of the crash and will be handling the investigation from this point forward.
As a result of the crash power has gone out in the Manitou Lake area. Sask-Power has been notified and are dealing with the loss of power.

08:10 am - Responded to a report of Domestic Violence at a local business. Police Investigation revealed that an argument had ensured between the couple but that they worked out their problems. Alcohol was not a factor. No charges.
12:38 pm - 911 call of an assault in progress on the 1600 block of 104th street. 13 year old female youth suspect being held until Police arrived. Alcohol is not a factor and the matter is still under investigation.
1:58 pm - Report of a break and enter to residence on the 1800 block of 93rd street. Suspect(s) gained entry to home and stole several large items along with clothing belonging to the victim and the victim's child. Police are still investigating.
2:06 pm - Report of mischief to a vehicle on the 1100 block of 104th street. A window was smashed and entry was gained to the vehicle. Suspects went through the vehicle and steering column sustained damage, matter is still under investigation.
3:20 pm - Report of car shopper(s) on the 1100 block of 99th street. Several items stolen from inside the vehicle. Matter is still under investigation.
7:28 pm - 30 year old intoxicated male located on the 100 block of 101st street. Arrested and held until sober.
9:38 pm - 911 call reporting erratic driver headed south on the Bridges towards Battleford. Suspect vehicle collided with a semi but did not stop. Police responded and located suspect vehicle. Two suspects were arrested, a 38 year old male and a 35 year old male are facing charges. Police are still investigating.
9:42 pm - Report of unwanted intoxicated male at a local business. Police attended, arrested and removed a 49 year old male. Subject held until sober. 2014.03.09
01:22 am - report of intoxicated male laying in the middle of the street. Police attended and arrested a 25 year intoxicated male. Subject was held in custody until sober.
02:05 am - Request made to remove two intoxicated males from a residence on Winder Cres. Police attended and removed 28 year old male and a 23 year old male. Further investigation revealed that the 23 year old male was conditions not to be drinking alcohol and was charged with Failure to Comply with the condition.
04:52 am - report of an unwanted intoxicated female at a residence located on the 1400 block of 111th street. Police attended and removed a 17 year old intoxicated female.
Sometime between Thursday evening , March 6 and Friday evening, March 7, 2014, unknown suspect(s) attended to a farm west of Carmel, Saskatchewan were they shot and killed livestock, including cows and pigs.
The suspect vehicle is believed to be a 4x4 truck possibly with BF Goodrich All Terrain tires.

4:39 pm - call to assist with domestic situation on the 1200 block of 102nd street. Dispute over a purse matter was resolved and both parties departed. No charges.
4:58 pm - Report of a hit and run near Pioneer Ave North Battleford. Plate number of suspect vehicle was obtained and the matter is still under investigation.
5:47 pm - Report of unwanted guest in residence on the 10000 block of 103rd street. Dispute over who has right to property, Police investigation reveals matter is civil.
6:56 pm - Report of intoxicated person on the 1000 block of 101st street. 45 year male arrested and held in custody until sober.
11:36 pm - Report of a disturbance at local business. Two intoxicated males causing problems. Police attended and subjects removed. Matter still under investigation. 2014.03.08
01:30 am - Report of disturbance at local business. Several people intoxicated and causing problems. Police attended and subject left without further incident.
03:55 am - Report of intoxicated male walking down street near Winder Cres. Male knocking on doors and causing disturbance. Police located intoxicated 24 year old male who was arrested for Public Intoxication and Causing a Disturbance.
05:44 am - Report of people fighting in residence located on Deans Cres. Police attended and arrested 3 intoxicated subjects for Mischief and Assault. Investigation is on going.

2014245950 - Missing Person Tessa BELL.
On Wednesday March 5th 2014 North Battleford RCMP received a report of a 13 year old missing youth, Tessa BELL. Tessa was last seen at approximately 3:15 pm leaving school at John Paul II Collegiate. Tessa is described as wearing a black jacket, purple shoes, long black hair. Tessa has been messaging friends via Facebook and it is believed Tessa maybe in Saskatoon. However this has not been confirmed. Police investigation is continuing

Swift Current RCMP
On 2014-03-06 at approx. 2:34 pm
Swift Current Roving Traffic Unit stopped an East bound vehicle near Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
A 35 year male from Sault St. Marie, Ontario was subsequently arrested without incident for the Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking of Cannabis Marihuana under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Search of the vehicle revealed a large quantity of Cannabis Marihuana. A total of 48.5 pounds or 22,000.00 grams of Cannabis Marihuana was seized from the vehicle. Estimated street value of the Cannabis Marihuana is in excess of $300,000.00
The 35 year old male is presently in Police custody and is scheduled to appear in Swift Current Provincial Court for a Bail on Monday March 10 2014.
