Sothey/Strasbourg RCMP

On February 24th, 2014 at 11:00 p.m. RCMP members from Southey/Strasbourg executed a CDSA search warrant with assistance from Lumsden, White Butte and Police Dog services at a residence on the Piapot first Nations.  15 marihuana plants  ***Please see photos attached***  in the early to mid growth stage were located/seized from the laundry room in the residence.  A small amount of dried marihuana (final product) was also seized during the search along with evidence to support the charges of Production of Marihuana and possession of Marihuana under 30 grams.  As a result of the investigation 2 people have been charged:

 

1) A male youth has been charged with:

 

- Production of Marihuana (Section 7(1) CDSA)

- Possession of a firearm without a valid license - Section 92(1) CC

 

2) 51 year old Dwayne Crowe has been charged with:

 

- Production of Marihuana - Section 7(1) CDSA

- Possession of Marihuana under 30 grams - Section 4(1) CDSA

- Unsafe storage of a firearm - Section 86(1) CC

- Possession of a firearm without a valid license - Section 92(1) CC

- Possession of a firearm while prohibited - Section 117.01(1) CC

 

In addition to the above charges Mr. Crowe is also speaking to an allegation of Breaching his Conditional Sentence Order that was issued to him on December 4th, 2013 in Southey.  Mr. Crowe appeared in court in Regina at 2:00 p.m. today.

On February 16, 2014 at approximately 6 am, an unknown suspects attempted to break into the Reel Attractions cinema in Humboldt. Anyone with any information on this crime are asked to call the Humboldt RCMP at 682-2535 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).

Approximately 17 calls for service/occurrences reported.  2 Alarms responded to, both found to be false. 2 false/nuisance 911 calls.

759am - Complaint of a break and enter to a business on Thatcher Avenue. Still under investigation.

121pm - Report of a possible impaired driver passed out in a vehicle on the Highway 16 Bypass. Driver found to be sleeping and sober.

409pm - Two complaints of an intoxicated male on 108th Street. Located and lodged in cells for sobering.

507pm - Report of an intoxicated male refusing to leave licenced premises. Lodged in cells for sobering.

719pm - Report of a suspicious package delivered to a residence. Turned out to have been just delivered to the wrong address.

744pm - Complaint of a male punching a female in the face. Still under investigation but charges pending.

1017pm - Report of a male youth breaching his curfew. Charges pending.

303am - Report of an intoxicated male refusing to pay his cab fare. Arrested and lodged for sobering.
