Carrot River RCMP

On January 29, 2014, members of the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit with assistance from Carrot River RCMP Detachment members, executed a Search Warrant in Zenon Park, Saskatchewan, and arrested a 35 year old male.

 

The offences dated back to November 2013.

 

Arrested was James Patrick LALONDE, (D.O.B.-1978-07-23). LALONDE was charged with Accessing Child Pornography, Possessing Child Pornography and Making Available Child Pornography.

 

LALONDE will be making his first court appearance March 6th, 2014 at 10 am at Saskatchewan Provinical Court in Carrot River, Sk.

 

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the R.C.M.P., Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service and Prince Albert Police Service.  Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.

Approximately 20 calls for service/occurrences reported.  2 alarms responded to, both false.  1 false/nuisance 911 call.

0824am - Call of a discarded condom full of drugs located off Territorial Drive, which just turned out to be an old used condom.

 

1255pm - Two vehicle collision on 100th Street.  One passenger sustain non life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.  Both vehicle sustained significant damage and had to be towed from scene.  Minor traffic disruptions.  Driver of one of the vehicles involved has been charged under the Traffic Safety Act for Failure to Yield to oncoming traffic when turning left.

 

116pm - Caller contacted by phone by a company requesting access to her computer to rid it of viruses.  Some personal information was provided.  Police are reminding people not to provide personal information to phone solicitors.  This is not a legitimate service.

 

351pm - 45 year old male arrested for public intoxication, sleeping in a public washroom.  Again.

 

415pm - Theft of a phone reported.  Complainant lent it to an acquaintance who has refused to return it.

 

641pm - Minor two vehicle collision on Railway Avenue East.  No injuries and both vehicle able to leave under own power.

 

740pm - Members assisting in mediating dispute regarding late rent payment between landlord and tenants.

 

1130pm - 55 year old male arrested fro public intoxication on 101st street.

303am - Members responded to a home on 103rd street, female armed with a knife, some threats being made to harm herself.  Members able to locate and take subject into custody without any issues, who was not in possession of any weapons when taken into custody.  No one was harmed or injured.

 

305am - 41 year old male arrested for public intoxication on 101st street.

Yorkton RCMP

2014-01-27 08:00 hrs

 

Sometime over night,  a tire shop in Yorkton reported someone entered the compound and stole 4 sets of tires. The description of the tires were as follows:

 

1) Michelin tires AT2 size 675/65R18. These tires are for a 1/2 tun truck the tires are not on rims.

 

2) Michelin tires on Acura rims size 225/55R18. These tires are for an SUV .

 

3) Perform XP tires 24 inch black Volosity rims size 295/35R24. These tires are for a truck on the rims.

 

4) Michelin Latitude x-ice size 225/65R17. These tires are brand new still has the stickers on them, they are not on rims. .

 

The total value of the items stolen is not known at this time.  RCMP are continuing to investigate, if the Public has any information to please contact the local RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
