White Butte RCMP
At approximately 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, White Butte RCMP responded to a single motor vehicle collision on highway #1 near Regina.
A car traveling west on highway #1 was attempting to pass a semi tractor-trailer unit. The driver of the car lost control and the vehicle rolled into the ditch.
All three occupants of the car sustained minor injuries and were transported to hospital in Regina by Regina EMS. RCMP were assisted by Moose Jaw EMS and the Regina Fire Department.
All emergency vehicles have cleared the scene and highway #1 is open.
La Ronge RCMP
Between Thursday, January 23, 2014 and Saturday, January 25, 2014, the La Ronge RCMP along with a team of 5 RCMP Impaired Driving Enforcement Specialists known as Drug Recognition Experts conducted a focused traffic operation in the communities of La Ronge, Air Ronge, Lac La Ronge Indian Band, and Stanley Mission, as well various points in between over an accumulated enforcement period totaling 30 hours. Members of the operation were out conducting roving and stationary traffic enforcement focused on the detection of drug and alcohol impaired drivers, illegal drug and alcohol possession along with ensuring the preservation of road user safety.
The traffic enforcement initiative involved the checking of 975 vehicles with the following results:
• 7 Impaired Driving offences [3 by alcohol, 3 by drug, 1 refusal],
• 7 charges under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act ,
• 8 charges under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act,
• 12- 24 Hour license Suspensions issued,
• 62 tickets under the Traffic Safety Act issued for different offences,
• 3 –90 day License suspensions,
• 4 vehicles were seized for various issues (disqualified drivers, 30 day impounds, unregistered vehicles, etc)
• 4 charges under the snowmobile act (not wearing a helmet), and
• 5 charges of driving while suspended.
Of note during the enforcement initiative, two significant separate seizures were made which included 5 - 66 oz bottles of whiskey and 68 grams of cannabis marihuana both of which were destined for Stanley Mission which is a dry reserve. All persons charged during this initiative will be appearing on April 24th 2014 at the La Ronge Sk Provincial Court for first appearance.
RCMP would like to remind motorists that it is an offence to operate a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and or a drug, and that it’s extremely important that we all do our part in keeping our roadways safe and free of impaired drivers.
Traffic in both lanes has been restored. Police continue to be at scene, and travellers should be on the lookout and be prepared to slow down as they approach the scene of the collision. Investigation is ongoing.
Battlefords RCMP and Maidstone RCMP are currently at the scene of a two vehicle collision approximately 14.5km West of Delmas on Highway 16. At this time both eastbound lanes have been closed, travellers are to expect delays. The collision involves a Semi and an SUV and there are confirmed injuries. Updates will be made as the situations changes.
North Battleford RCMP

Under 20 calls for service/occurrences reported. 1 false/nuisance 911 call.
1129am - Caller reporting they are missing 4 to 6 bottles of water and suspects they were stolen, then called back shortly after to report she had found the missing bottles, she had just not counted properly.
449pm - Report of an arson to a garage on 106th Street. Son and friend of son of complainant responsible. Minor damage reported.
525pm - Theft of gas on 100th Street. Suspect vehicle described as a Silver Yukon, unknown plates, with two males in vehicle, last scene driving west on 18th Avenue.
613pm - Report of a stolen IPOD, which was discovered to have been lent out and not yet returned. Same returned to owner later in evening.
758pm - Report of an intoxicated male on 101st street, approached complainant and stated he wanted to talk to someone before he started shooting people. He shortly thereafter had the opportunity to speak to numerous police officers. 45 year old man arrested without incident. No firearms located. Charges at this time still pending.
810pm - Report of a female throwing things around and breaking them in a home on 110th Street. Matter was domestic argument. Female provided a ride to a relatives residence to keep the peace for the evening.
1010pm - Noise complaint on 109th Street, two person having a loud argument. Nothing criminal reported. Subjects warned.
348am - Suspicious persons knocking at a door to a residence on 102nd Street and now walking north down street, possibly intoxicated. Patrols of area negative.
