Update 2014-01-13 1812: Dennis Malischewski missing person
A ground and aerial search has been done in the Kelvington Snowmobile trails area near Kelvington, Saskatchewan. The Kelvington, Wadena, Archerwill and Quill Lake snowmobile clubs, the Civilian Air Search and Rescue, along with the RCMP have been involved in the search.
At this time Mr. Dennis Malischewski has not been located.
Dennis Malischewski was possibly seen on Sunday, January 12th at approximately 12:45 pm, just south of Kelvington, and was accompanied by another male snowmobile rider. The other male is described as approximately 5'6", 150 lbs, dark hair and moustache, wearing a red snowmobile suit with the emblem "FOX" or possibly "FXR" on the jacket.
Updates to the media will be provided as new information becomes available.
Police and volunteers are continuing their search and investigation.
White Butte RCMP
White Butte RCMP remain at the scene of the collision. 1 adult male was airlifted by STARS to hospital in Regina with what are reported as serious injuries. RCMP will remain on scene until the investigation is completed.
Traffic is flowing around the area without any delays. Once police have cleared from the scene, White Butte RCMP will update this release with any further details that are available.
White Butte RCMP
White Butte RCMP are currently on the scene of a collision between a semi and a train in the community of Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan. The collision is at the rail crossing at Butte Street and Railway Avenue within the community. The extent of injuries, if any, are not known. No further details are available at this time as the investigation is in its early stages.
Motorists should choose an alternate route as the area is expected to be blocked for a considerable amount of time while the collision is being investigated.
Overdue Traveler - Dennis Malischewski
The Kelvington/Rose Valley RCMP are seeking public assistance in obtaining information to assist in locating Dennis Malischewski. He was last seen at approximately 10:00 AM on January 11, 2014 in Kelvington, SK while operating his black Polaris snowmobile. Neither his whereabouts or direction of travel are known. Dennis Malischewski is of Kelvington and is 59 years old, is 183 cm (6'1 inches) tall and weighs 104 kg (230 lbs). He was also wearing a black, two piece snowmobile suit and a black and yellow helmet when last seen. Photographs of Dennis Malischewski and a snowmobile similar to the one he was seen operating are attached. He is known to travel large distances via snowmobile and in the past has gone as far as Carrot River and Yorkton, and also has stayed in remote snowmobile warm-up shacks or cabins. Kelvington RCMP is continuing efforts to locate this individual.

Over 70 calls/occurrences reported for noted period. Over 25 arrests made for a variety of offences. 6 alarms responded to. 3 False/nuisance 911 complaints.
750am - Vehicle versus Deer Collision on 16 Highway Bypass. Minor damage to vehicle.
1114am - Gas and Dash reported on 16 Highway Bypass. Subject of complaint later returned to pay for same after realizing error.
130pm - Report of a young child left unattended in a vehicle parked on in a parking lot off Territorial Drive north. Prior to police arrival, father of child returned and left area. Unknown how long child was left unattended. Matter remains under investigation.
310pm - Report of FACEBOOK postings over a disagreement over pizza.
720pm - Unwanted male at residence on Trudeau Street. 34 year old male arrested for Mischief and held until sober. No charges pursued.
815pm - 911 call to same address as previous complaint, reporting the same male was at the residence assaulting caller's sister. After confirming there was no magic teleportation device in cells the male could have been using, caller was advised the matter had been dealt with an hour earlier.
916pm - Unwanted and intoxicated female at residence on 108th Street. Subject left when police called.
934pm - Complaint of harassment. Remains under investigation.
1034pm - 911 call from subject reporting she was stopped at the train crossing and was demanding members attend to move the train as she was waiting at the crossing for 8 minutes now and she was on her way to Calgary. She was advised members would absolutely not be attending to move the train but would gladly attend to charge her for making a frivolous 911 call. She decided to wait for the train to move on its own.
1040pm - 17 year old youth charged with Failing to Comply with Probation after a curfew check on Foley Drive.
1118pm - Break and enter to a garage on 112th Street. Door damaged but no items reported missing or tampered with.
1135pm - 46 year old woman arrested for Breach of Conditional Sentence Order on 114th Street. Held in custody and to appear in North Battleford Provincial court on January 13th at 930am.
1139pm - Suspicious person knocking on a window at a residence on 106th Street then running away. Patrols negative.
1142pm - Suspicious person walking on Bridges, very difficult to see by passing motorists. Subject located and provided a ride by members to a residence in city
1200am - 53 year old male arrested on 103rd Street, found in violations of Conditions of an Undertaking. Released when sober on charges.
1223am - 23 year old woman arrested on 101st Street for Public Intoxication, located by patrolling members.
131am - Report of a fight/disturbance at a bar. 34 year old male arrested after being involved in an earlier altercation and refusing to leave. Facing two counts of Failing to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking.
131am - While dealing with previous matter, a 52 year old male was observed to be intoxicated and found to be on conditions not to consume alcohol. Arrested and facing one count of Failing to Comply with an Undertaking.
206am - Report of a vehicles windows damaged on 114th Street.
215am - Report of intoxicated people banging on door to residence and trying to egg the house on 107th Street. Then reported they were now ok, it was different people banging on the door, but someone was still trying to egg the house. Patrols in area negative.
220am - Caller witnessed a deer on the road and is now following the deer which is wandering around town and is wondering what they should do. Possibly stop following the deer and keep going wherever it is the caller was going.
235am - Intoxicated people/unwanted guests at a hotel. Two woman, aged 44 and 20, located and arrested for Mischief. Held in custody until sober.
247am - 26 year old male arrested and charged with Obstruction and Resist Arrest after a vehicle stop on 110th Street. Subject provided a false name. Also found to have warrants for arrest out of Saskatoon. Held in custody to appear in court on January 13th at 930am.
329am - Report of intoxicated guests at hotel causing a disturbance. Two subjects removed from premises without incident. No arrests/charges.
332am - Unwanted intoxicated person at a residence on 109th Street. 36 year old male arrested and held in custody until sober.
554am - 18 year old male arrested and facing charges of Impaired Driving after vehicle check on 12th Avenue and 102nd Street.
612am - Report of two suspicious persons knocking on a door to a residence on 112th Street. Suspects located near scene. 15 year old male youth provided false name and found to be in violation of conditions of an Undertaking. Arrested and charged with Obstruction, and Failing to Comply with an Undertaking X 2. He has been remanded and is set to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on January 13th at 930am. 17 year old youth also arrested, held in custody until sober.
758am - Unwanted intoxicated person at a residence on 110th Street. 19 year old woman arrested and held in custody until sober.
920am - Report of an assault near or at a residence on Douglas Avenue. Alleged victim was very intoxicated and providing inconsistent information. No injuries noted. Transported to a safe residence and investigation ongoing.
1050am - Hit and run on 10th Avenue. Complaint's vehicle struck by a dark min-van which failed to stop and exchange information. No injuries reported.
323pm - Two vehicle collision on 20th Avenue. No injuries, both vehicles had to be towed from scene. Male driver of one vehicle has been charged with Failing to Yield at an Intersection.
523pm - 911 call of an assault on 106th Street. Witnesses reported seeing a male grabbing a female by the hair and subjects were now all in a residence on the 1200 block. Members attended and a 53 year old male was arrested on scene. Several statement have been taken and matter remains under investigation. No charges have yet been laid on this matter.
812pm - 23 year old male arrested and charged under Liquor Act for Public Intoxication after report of male causing a disturbance on 100th Street.
1048pm - Report of a male trying to steal a vehicle at a dealership. 22 year old male located on scene and arrested. During arrest the male made numerous threats to sexually assault the arresting officer. Male has been charged with Theft of a Vehicle, Mischief, Uttering Threats and Failing to Comply with Probation X 2. Subject has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to make his first appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on January 13th at 930am.
330pm - Theft of a cell phone reported, occurred some time over previous evening.
530pm - Theft/Shoplifting incident on 1800 block of 100th Street. Suspect fled scene in a red Grand Am.
605pm - Vehicle reported stolen. Suspect known to complainant. Vehicle later recovered and charges not pursued as per wishes of complainant.
455am - Report of several intoxicated persons at a hotel causing a disturbance. Members attended and arrested 5 subjects for Causing a Disturbance. A 34 year old woman was found to be on conditions and charges are pending.
