Yorkton RCMP


1:13 p.m.


RCMP in Yorkton attended a single vehicle MVA involving a pedestrian on December 12, 2013 @ 5:17 p.m..  The pedestrian was attempting to cross Smith St. at Sixth Ave. and was struck by a west bound vehicle.  The pedestrian was transported to hospital with minor injuries.  RCMP are continuing to investigate.



Moose Jaw RCMP


8:30 a.m.

At approximately 11:00 pm on September 15th, 2013, members of the Moose Jaw Detachment responded to a single vehicle rollover 37 km south of Moose Jaw on Highway #2.  Three people died in the collision and one remains in hospital with long term injuries resulting from the crash.


On December 12, 2013, members of the Moose Jaw Detachment, Moose Jaw Integrated Crime Unit, "F" Division Criminal Crash Investigative Team arrested and charged the driver involved in the collision.


Jesse David TAYLOR (22 yrs) of Moose Jaw has been charged with

- Impaired Driving Causing Death (three counts)

- Driving Over .08mg% Causing Death (three counts)

- Dangerous Driving Causing Death (three counts)

- Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm (one count)

- Driving Over .08mgs % Causing Bodily Harm (one count)

- Dangerous Driving Causing Bodily Harm (one count)



Killed in the collision were;


Jason FRIESEN 24 yrs of Moose Jaw, Sask.

Justin KOWALSKI 24 yrs of Mossbank, Sask.

Joshua PATTERSON 24 yrs of Moose Jaw, Sask.


TAYLOR made a Court appearance in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on December 12, 2013.  He is scheduled to be back in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on February 5, 2014 at 9:30.

Approximately 25 calls for services/occurrences.  1 False/misdial 911.  Several driving complaints.  1 Alarm responded to, found to be false.



746am - 19 year old male arrested on 100th Street, intoxicated at a residence and causing a disturbance.


1000am - North Battleford RCMP welcomed the Grade 4 class from Connaught School to the Detachment for a tour.  The students were given a tour of the facilities by two of our members, which was very well received.  Thanks for coming Grade 4 class and have a Great Holiday season.


1154am - Notification of traffic backing up on bridge due to movement of an RTM home.  Members dispatched to location to provide traffic control until transport completed.


136pm - Vehicle parked on 114th Street overnight had tires slashed.


620pm - Report of altercation/argument.  No assault or threats found to have been made.


708pm - Single vehicle collision on Bridges.  Vehicle lost control and struck a guard rail.  No injuries, vehicle sustained significant damage.  Icy road conditions at the time.


733pm - 30 year old male arrested on 103rd Street for Public Intoxication.


1045pm - Report of two persons fighting on street on 101st Street.  Both subject located and arrested for Causing a Disturbance.  23 year old male is facing charges of Failing to Comply with an Undertaking.  25 year old woman has not been charged.  Investigation in on going.


1047pm - Complainant called 911 to report the he is home and his girlfriend might come home later with some people from the bar and he doesn't want anybody else there.  Not a proper use of 911.


1107pm - Single vehicle collision on 105th Street.  No occupants located in or near vehicle, which was towed from scene.



156am - Hit and run reported on Railway Avenue East.  Suspect later located and a 53 year old male has been charged.


508am - Report of fighting/arguing at residence on St.Laurent Drive.  No arrests made.  Matter still under investigation.
