We would like everyone to meet Max who was about one year old when he was seized by our Animal Protection Officer on Jan. 21st. He weighed 35 lbs and was found chained to his doghouse, extremely emaciated -- not 10 feet away from the end of his chain were two un-opened bags of dog food. His body temperature was very low and he was immediately rushed to the vets where he was put on IV fluids and warmed up. The vet told us Max would not have made it through the night and the next 24 hours would be crucial. The next morning Max was making attempts at standing, his tail was wagging and he was inhaling the small meals provided to him. Max has been living in a foster home while he recuperates and is doing great! He shares the home with two boys, three other dogs and is house trained, crate trained, up to date with routine vaccinations, micro chipped and neutered. Three weeks after he was seized he weighed 62 lbs. Max is well on his way to living the life he so deserves and will make a wonderful addition to any home. If you would like to meet Max please call our Animal Care Center at 1-306-763-6110 and we can arrange a visit.
