Métis Elder Julie Pitzel has been awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal in recognition of her unflagging volunteer work for the community of Prince Albert. Pitzel received the award last Friday during a special ceremony in Saskatoon along with five other high-achieving women.
