--PRINCE ALBERT-- Languished in defeat, the under-18 boys Celtics return home from Regina after losing the one-off soccer showdown 1-0 to the Regina Unidads, who snatched the lone nationals’ birth.

Melancholy aside, head coach Clark Hillaby said the boys played an inspired match. He said the Prince Albert side hit two bars, one within the opening 10 minutes, which could have drastically changed the complexion of the match.

The Unidads scored their lone goal in the first half, and subsequently played as an organized defensive unit, staving off any Celtics’ second-half onslaught. With the loss, the Celtics aspirations for nationals in Fredericton, N.B., fell agonizingly short.
