Tempers in city council cooled, and tension melted Wednesday.
Satisfied his question was answered, Coun. Shawn Williams has withdrawn his motion for an investigation into the Mayor's conduct.
"At about 1:30 this afternoon there was a meeting with myself and Mayor [Jim] Scarrow and a member of the health board, and I got this answers I was looking for and I'm satisfied with the answers," said Coun. Shawn Williams as to the withdrawal of his motion.
"Mayor Scarrow and I have agreed to sit down and discuss our differences, and move on from there."
A number of other members of council were also in attendance at the gathering.
"I thank him for that," said Mayor Scarrow of Williams withdrawing the motion. "We're not always going to see eye to eye."
Despite this, Scarrow was glad to have the disagreement resolved. He said his intention is to look forward, and not dwell on what has passed.
"I don't think there's a council anywhere where there isn't friction some of the time," he added.
