Hmm, I guess you're not a boxing fan. Or UFC. Or WWE. Or karate. Or fencing. or Tae bo. It's not promoting violence -- it's promoting SPORT! Knock off the hyperbole you hippie! And there were plenty of women in attendance!

I commend our MP and councillor for taking part in this great sporting event, and raising money for our community's at-risk children!

I'm disgusted with the amount of ink devoted to this display of violence in the past week, and with the message it sends to Prince Albert. When you run a story about stopping fighting in hockey right above a feature on the RU Tuff Enuff show, what are really saying? It diminishes the efforts of those concerned about hockey violence and injuries and just encourages violence in general.

I'd be interested to know whether there was an increase in assaults this past weekend, after 3000 people - mainly men - were out getting drunk and watching people get beaten up at the AHC. And who are they likely to hit? Probably women or children.

It may be for a good cause that the money is raised, but the event itself is disgusting. the fact that our MP and councillors were there is even more disturbing.

So much for P.A. being a violence free city . What a crock.
