Raiders app

Fans of the Prince Albert Raiders can now use their smartphones to keep tabs on their favourite WHL squad.

On Thursday, the Raiders announced the release of the team’s official mobile app, which is now available for download on iPhone, Blackberry and Android devices.

Developed by Buzzer Apps Mobile Solutions, the app features an array of tools to keep fans abreast of everything Raiders hockey including team schedule, WHL standings, roster and social media feeds.

The Halifax-based mobile software company has developed similar apps for teams across the CHL including the Regina Pats, Saskatoon Blades, Moose Jaw Warriors and Swift Current Broncos.

Fans can also purchase tickets for Raiders home tilts at the Art Hauser Centre through the app while receiving push notification from the games.

For example, the app will alert users with a push notification every time the Raiders score a goal this season.

Season tickets for the Raiders upcoming 2014-2015 WHL season are still available and can be purchased online at raiderhockey.com or through the Raider office.

The Raiders will kick things off at the Art Hauser Centre on Sept. 5 with a pre-season tilt against the Saskatoon Blades.
