2014 Swift Current Broncos Training Camp

The Swift Current Broncos are already back on the ice preparing for the 2014-15 Western Hockey League season. Rookies reported earlier this week and the main camp began Wednesday with fitness testing.

Scrimmages will take place at the Credit Union iplex on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday beginning at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. each day.

The annual Black and White Game is set for Sunday at 1 p.m. Admission to the Black and White Game will be $5 and proceeds will be donated to the new Swift Current Youth Emergency Shelter, a six-bed coed facility for youth aged 14-18 in need of housing.

The Broncos will open the exhibition season with a rookie game in Moose Jaw on Tuesday before travelling to Edmonton for pre-season games against the Edmonton Oil Kings and Red Deer Rebels next weekend.

The first exhibition game in Swift Current will be September 5 when the Broncos host the Moose Jaw Warriors at 7 p.m. They will also host the Saskatoon Blades on September 13 in Maple Creek.

The Broncos will open the regular season at home on September 19 against the Moose Jaw Warriors.
