The Prince Albert Raiders traded a seventh round pick in the 2014 WHL bantam draft to the Victoria Royals for 18-year-old forward Dakota Conroy on Wednesday.
Conroy, an Edmonton, Alta., product, appeared in 67 WHL games last year, splitting the season between Brandon and Victoria.
The 6’1”, 190-pound right-winger posted 11 goals and seven assists for 18 points and 33 penalty minutes last season. He had an assist in four pre-season games this year.
“We are pleased to have Dakota join our club,” Raiders General Manager Bruno Campese said in a press release. “He adds size and depth to our current forward group and we look forward to his arrival.”
Conroy was a third round selection by the Wheat Kings in 2009.
The team returns to action at the Art Hauser Centre on Friday against the Moose Jaw Warriors.
