--PRINCE ALBERT--Eric Williams posted his first shutout of the season in Seattle on Friday evening, as the Raiders started their five-game road stint with a commanding 5-0 win.

Along with Williams’ 36 saves, Tyler Vanscourt scored a hat trick, including the first two goals of the game – one on the power play – to propel his team to an important victory.

Todd Fiddler added his second of the season, while Antoine Corbin scored his first in the third period to put the Thunderbirds out of their misery.

Four of five Raiders’ goals came from defenceman, which is the kind of secondary scoring the Green and Gold will relish.

Two of Vanscourt’s goals came by way of the man advantage, which has struggled of late but saw great success south of the border, going 2-for-4 with a Thunderbird sitting in the sin-bin.

Williams made 36 saves for his first win of the campaign, a moral-boosting triumph going into tonight’s contest versus the Portland Winterhawks (3-3-0-0).

With the win, the Raiders improve their record to 2-4-0-1. The puck drops in Portland at 8 p.m.
