There will a Prince Albert Raider playing in the ADT Canada Russia Challenge after all.
With Vancouver Giants' s sophomore star Evan Kane forced to miss the series because of a bruised heel, the Western Hockey League went to the local well to fill his vacancy for tonight's game at the Art Hauser Centre.
The player they decided on?
Raider captain Dustin Cameron.
In 31 games with Prince Albert this season, Cameron has 12 goals and 10 assists with 27 penalty minutes.
The Saskatoon product is in his third full season in the WHL, and his second with the Raiders.
Cameron was originally chosen in the third round (55th overall) by the Saskatoon Blades in the 2004 WHL bantam draft and played 87 games with the Blades from 2005-2007. He also played for Team West at the 2006 under-17 World Hockey Challenge.
The sixth and final game of the ADT Challenge begins at 7 p.m. tonight at the Art Hauser Centre.
For those who miss the game, they can catch the replay on Sportsnet at midnight.
