Golfers looking to tee off with visiting pros in the Prince Albert Pro-Am on July 2 are officially one step closer.

The Prince Albert Tourism and Marketing Bureau is now accepting names of individual golfers hoping to join one of the teams.

Once a spot becomes open, golfers will join the field after they have registered and paid $500, a process that must be completed by June 20.

The exclusive best ball event, which begins with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start, will at most accept about a dozen individuals.

In all, there will be 18 teams of four plus a pro playing in each group.

Among the prizes will be a $10,000 hole-in-one contest, tee gifts, three $1,000 Leon’s gift certificates and an evening dinner with the pros.

A portion of the proceeds will go to the Junior Golf Club.
