Falcons take pair against River Riders

An Arns Falcons wide receiver hauls in a pass with several peewee Prince Albert River Riders in hot pursuit during fourth quarter action at Max Clunie Field on Sunday.  The Falcons scored the only major of the game with six minutes left, and although they failed on the convert, they hung on for a 6-0 win over the River Riders.

The Prince Albert River Riders were winless in a pair of entertaining Kinsmen Football League games on Sunday afternoon.

In games at Max Clunie Field in Prime Ministers Park against the Arns Falcons, the pee weesfell 6-0 to the Arns Falcons while the bantams lost a 49-20 shootout.

Running back Jordon Solomon scored three touchdowns for the bantam River Riders, in a game the Falcons led at the half 29-20.

The pee wees next travel to meet the Tinkler Raiders in Saskatoon next Sunday while the Bantams head to North Battleford next Sunday to take on the Vikings.
