High School football camps being held this week
Preparations for next year’s high school football season got into full swing this week with the St. Mary Marauders holding their spring training camp at St. Paul Field while the Carlton Crusaders will hold their workouts later this week at Max Clunie Field in Prime Ministers’ Park. Both teams, who lose a number of players to graduation, are holding the camps to get younger players exposed to the game at the high school level and have the players get acquainted with what will be expected from them when the season begins in September. Drills are held to cover all aspects of the game and with the popularity of the game continuing to grow in Prince Albert strong results are expected as the local high schools show remarkable improvement every year. Shown in the photo are some of the players performing drills at the St. Mary camp on Tuesday.
