Busy Premier Soccer League weekend

It was another busy weekend for Prince Albert Celtic soccer teams as three of the five clubs saw action in the Premier Soccer League. The under-14 girl’s exploded for four unanswered goals in the second half to post a convincing 6-2 triumph over the SUSC Spartans from Saskatoon on Saturday at Prime Ministers’ Park while the under-14 boy’s had to settle for a 1-1 draw against the Lakewood Atletico, also from Saskatoon, in a game played earlier on Saturday at PMP. The under-18 Celtic boy’s were also in action, but results were unavailable from their match at Mosaic Stadium in Regina on Saturday. The under-14 girl’s, who are now 3-0-0 to start the season, got two goals each from Nikala Morash and Alex Short while Hallie Odnokon and Kayleigh Feschuk added one each. The under-14 girl’s return to action next weekend when they are in Saskatoon on Saturday to face the Eastside Force before returning home for a Sunday evening match at 7 p.m. at PMP against Saskatoon’s Lakewood FC. Sebastian Amezquita had the lone goal for the under-14 boy’s on Saturday as Prince Albert opened the scoring early in the second half only to have Lakewood Atletico storm right back seconds later to get the equalizer. The under-14 boy’s, who are 2-1-2, will head to Saskatoon next weekend to meet the Aurora Diablo. The under-18 boy’s, who were 1-1-0 heading into their game in Regina, will be at home on Saturday when they will host SUSC United from Saskatoon at 11 a.m. at PMP. The under-16 boy’s, who are 0-0-1, do not return to action until June 21 when they will host Unidad from Regina at PMP. The under-16 girl’s have yet to play a regular-season game with the first of a home-and-home against Unidad not scheduled until June 21 in Prince Albert.
