The Prince Albert Predators will be well represented at the Prairie Gold Junior Lacrosse League’s all-star game in Regina this weekend as seven members have been selected to compete in the annual showcase of the league’s top talent.

Making the elite squad are goaltender Lucas Wells along with runners Tyler Tilford, Brennan Werrett, Brady Leachman, Taylor Wilcox, Kyle Sawchuk and Bennett Hopkins.

The all-star game is being held in conjunction with the league’s first-ever weekend festival which will see all teams compete in a series of games that count in the regular-season standings.

The Predators will play a trio of contests during the festival beginning with a match against Yorkton followed by other tilts against Estevan and the Regina Riot.

Mid-season coaching and official evaluation sessions will also be held this weekend along with a grassroots initiative camp for young lacrosse enthusiasts.

The Predators, who are 3-1 in the regular campaign, will play their next home game on June 7 when they will host the defending league champion Regina Rifles at 7 p.m. at the Kinsmen Arena.
