The first of three family curling sessions at the Prince Albert Golf and Curling Club will be held this Sunday from 2-4 p.m.

The cost is just $10 per family with the fee covering player registration and including hot chocolate and cookies.

Two other dates have been set aside for this program and they are Feb. 2 and Mar. 2.

Another event that has been put in place in an attempt to generate more interest in the sport is Beer and Wings Night. These sessions will be held on Jan. 26, Feb. 9 and Mar. 2 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with interested participants asked to pre-register at the curling club office at least a day before the allotted time. The fee for this program is also very affordable as each player is required to pay $15 ($60 for a team) and that includes curling, beer and wings.

A junior league has just been started, but interested players can still sign up for the four remaining weeks. Sessions will be held every Wednesday from 5-6:45 p.m. from now until Feb. 12 with the fee for this program being set at just $20 per player or $80 for a team.

A number of year-end bonspiels are also on the schedule with the Two-Person Tuff Spiel set for Mar. 14-16 and the League Appreciation Spiel slated for Mar. 21-22. Volunteers and title sponsors are required for both so if anyone is interested in helping out, or if more information is required on the various events, they can call the office at 306-765-5203.
