Prince Albert wrestlers are in for a treat over the holidays when the Carlton Wrestling Club brings in two special guest instructors for a training program to be held at Carlton Comprehensive High School.
Brock Munro, a Carlton alumnus who presently competes with the University of Winnipeg Wesmen, and his head coach at the U of W, Adrian Bruce, will be leading the 18 hours of training which is scheduled for Dec. 27-29.
Munro graduated from Carlton in 2012 and is in his second season with the Wesmen while Bruce recently coached Canada’s entry at the Pan American championships in Columbia in addition to his role with the University of Winnipeg.
The training sessions, which will run from 9 a.m.- noon and 1-4 p.m. on each of the three days, is open to wrestlers between the ages of 12-18 years with the cost for the entire program set at just $20.
Registrations will be capped at 40 participants so interested wrestlers are urged to sign up quickly. To do so contact Carlton Wrestling Club head coach Kevin Lavallee at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Should the sessions not fill up prior to the first class on Dec. 27, registrations will be accepted upon arrival at Carlton Comprehensive High School.
