Registrations and tryouts are looming in the lacrosse world.
The Prince Albert Minor Box Lacrosse registration begins Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Margo Fournier Center at 1211 First Ave. W.
It continues at the same time on March 20 and March 27.
The prices vary by age group
• Tyke (born in 2007, 2006 or 2005) -- $ 110.
• Novice (born in 2004 or 2003) $140.
• Pee Wee (born in 2002 or 2001) $140.
• Bantam (born in 2000 or 1999) $140.
• Midget (born in 1998 or 1997) $140.
Lacrosse drop-in for players costs $2 per player. Each player must have a helmet with a face shield and gloves.
Meanwhile, tryouts begin for the Prince Albert Predators of the Junior B Prairie Gold Lacrosse League next month.
The tryouts and camps cost $100 per player.
Registration will be held at the Kinsmen Arena on Friday, April 19 at 7 p.m. with tryouts and player evaluations taking place from 7-10 p.m.
The other dates include:
• Saturday April 20, from 7 to 10 p.m. -- tryouts and player evaluations.
• Monday April 22, 9 to 10:30 p.m. -- tryouts and player evaluations.
• Wednesday, April 24, 9 to 10:30 p.m. -- tryouts and player evaluations.
• Sunday, April 28, 2 to 5 p.m. -- exhibition game or camp.
• Monday, April 29, 9 to 10:30 p.m. -- tryouts and final roster posted.
• Tuesday, April 30, 7 p.m. -- team meeting with parents.
• Wednesday, May 1 from 9 to 10:30 p.m. -- practice with final roster and affiliate players.
The team will have two 90-minute practices per week each Monday and Wednesday from 9 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. with two 30-minute practices at home expected from each player as well.
The team plays five away games, five home games and some exhibition games
The PGLL playoffs take place in Saskatoon from July 12-14.
