City’s bowling teams set for provincials

Prince Albert has settled on its provincial bowling teams after the Great West Brewhouse Open last weekend at Minto Bowl.

On the men’s side, the three singles representatives are Lonny Akers (278.9 average after 20 games), Darcy Anseth (270.3) and Pat Kurchirka (268).

They will be joined on the men’s team by the next three highest finishers, who were Jack Mukli (264.75), Derek Hlewka (263.3) and Roger Daniels (258.70).

The next three highest finishers, Sean Dieno (250.85), Brian Earl (250.55) and Ray Basaraba (249.45), will join the mixed team.

On the women’s side, the three singles representatives are Heather Lawrence (244.70), Dawn Mardell (243.45) and Christa Mulhall (242.05).

They will be joined on the women’s team by the next three highest finishers, who were Robyn Nagy (240.70), Tiffany Woodman (240.20) and Shelley Hlewka (239.55)

The next three highest finishers, Shona Stapleton (237.70), Tracy Kenney (232.6) and Bev Michael (231.55), will join the mixed team.

Wade Fiddler coaches the men, Susan Polowski coaches the women and Lorraine Brassard looks after the mixed team.

Provincials run from March 27-30 in Regina. Winners there will advance to nationals in St. John, NL.
