The Prince Albert Raiders have dealt 20-year-old defenceman Tyler Yaworski to the Brandon Wheat Kings for a fifth round selection in the 2013 Western Hockey League bantam draft.

Yaworski had five goals, 30 assists and 446 penalty minutes in 163 games with the Raiders after being acquired from the Saskatoon Blades in a trade in October 2009.

The Sherwood Park, Alta., product would have been competing with forward Anthony Bardaro, defenceman Antoine Corbin and new goalie Luke Siemens for one of the three overage spots.

“We would like to thank Tyler for his commitment to our organization over the past three seasons,” Raiders general manager Bruno Campese said in a release. “We wish him good luck in Brandon and in all his future hockey endeavours.”

The Raiders begin training camp on Aug. 28.
