Raiders announce dates for camp

The boys of winter are set to return.

The Prince Albert Raiders make their way back to the rink on Aug. 28 as they prepare for their 2012 Western Hockey League season.

The team begins with rookie registration and fitness testing on Tuesday, Aug. 28, followed by two days of on-ice sessions for the new players.

The main camp starts on Friday, Aug. 30 with returning player registration and fitness testing.

The main group takes to the ice on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.

The annual green and gold intrasquad game will be held on Sunday Sept. 2.

On-ice sessions are free to watch, with the green and gold game tickets available at the door for $5.

More details will be released later on ice times.

The Raiders kick off their four-game pre-season by hosting the Saskatoon Blades on Sept. 7. The Blades will also be in the city for the season opener on Sept. 21.
