The colours of the season can be found everywhere right now but there was a perfect example at Little Red River Park on a recent day.

When Rural Roots relaunched in July with a major redesign, one of the features that Daily Herald staff liked was the prominent play given to pictures on the front page. It provided a forum for some creative pictures that don't necessarily fit in the daily newspaper. With that spirit in mind, here are some of the photos taken by Daily Herald managing editor Perry Bergson for Rural Roots in the last six months.
