Jully Black: Feb. 7, 2013

Canada’s R & B Queen Jully Black performed Thursday night at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre to a bumping crowd. She and her band took the audience from emotional ballads in the first act to fist-pumping -- literally-- rhythms in the second act. Black is a Juno award winner and has opened for the 2010 Olympics as well as for several internationally recognized musicians, including, Kanye West and Celine Dion and Alicia Keys. She also works to bring music into communities that don’t often get exposed to it. Herald photo by KJ Dakin
