R U Tuff Enuff: Jan. 26, 2013

The 12th R U Tuff Enuff fundraiser for the Kinsmen Club went through with only one fan-fight on Saturday night at the Art Hauser Centre. In the women’s open division Stacey Obchansky won the women's division for the second year in a row, defending her title. Her competition was Prince Albert local, Marcie Burns, who received great cheers from the crowd for her efforts. In the men’s divisions the lightweight winner was the only Prince Albert local to take a title. Jeremiah Hill took the title and the prize money when he beat Cory Bear. In the middleweight division the winner was Brett Anderson who beat Travis Mackie and in the heavyweight division the winner was Yowi Naytowhow who beat Fred Maurice. -KJ Dakin

Prince Albert’s Earl Bergen won the second 155-pound-class fight of the MMA bouts against Moose Jaw fighter Chris Sauder. The MMA bouts took place during a break between the R U Tuff Enuff fights.

Stacey Obchansky won the women's open division for the second year in a row. Her competition was local; Marcie Burns who had rousing cheers of support from the crowed but couldn’t quite pull off the win.

3 width:500px;height:280px Some fighters walked towards the ring in a simple black bunny-hug, some bare-chested and ready to go, while others donned the wrestlers cloak and walked in with a little more flash. 4 height:500px;width:361px During the final round Bret Anderson beat Travis Mackie in the middleweight division. Anderson took the belt and the $2,000 prize money. 5 width:500px;height:312px
Chad Sutherland, of Duck Lake, took away the win in the final round of the MMA fights. He eked out a win from Prince Albert local Patrick Turner. The bout got fans emotions going with loud cheers coming in for Turner. At the end of the round, both fighters were gracious, Turner congratulating Sutherland and Sutherland stating that Turner should have won the bout. 6 width:500px;height:332px

Fred Maurice took a hard hit from Yowi Naytowhow who took the champion belt and the prize money at the end of the heavyweight division. Theirs was the last fight of the night.

The ring girls got into the spirit of entertainment on Saturday with one doing back bends and this one trying to compete with a summersault.
