I’m writing this letter to thank the mayor for tearing down the Minto Apartments.
I’m really relived they are gone, this is an answer to my prayers.
My life has been changed. I’m a recovering alcoholic, and it is hard work, but I did it and I am very proud of that. I got myself a home and I’m going back to school next month.
It has been a hard time as I have missed my baby sister who was murdered in those apartments, but kept on praying and got strong and now I’d like to help others.
I’m thankful for the support I got, and would also like to thank Pastor Gregg from the Nazarene Church.
I’m sober 11 months, going on a year and I feel great. Everyday it is a struggle, but I put it in God’s hands.
I’m a mother of four boys, a grandma and a great grandma. Today I enjoy my new life and choose not to live in the past. Tearing down the Minto Apartments makes that easier so thank you to the mayor.
