The Volunteer Services Department of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region is in need of caring, compassionate and committed volunteers to fulfill the following service positions:

Lab Services volunteers

Patient greeters at the Lab Services Center provide an essential assistance to patients and family members arriving for tests. Through their personal approach, these volunteers put patients at ease and ensure they are in the proper location to be called for their tests. Patient greeter volunteers understand that client confidentiality is of utmost importance.

Your volunteer commitment would amount to one weekly, three-hour shift. This volunteer service position appeals to people who prefer to work early in the morning as the hours are from 7:30 – 10:30 a.m. Relief positions are also available.

Gail’s Brigade

Gail’s Brigade volunteers are a group of dedicated individuals committed to providing specialized services, such as hair and nail care, for our patients.

Brigade members are trained to offer patients gentle, courteous and compassionate assistance. They share a common belief that looking good and being well-groomed contributes to an overall sense of well-being.

Gail’s Brigade volunteers reach out to patients at their most vulnerable and are rewarded with heartfelt appreciation.

Meals on Wheels

The Prince Albert Meals on Wheels service delivers warm, nourishing meals to local residents who are currently limited in their mobility or unable to venture outdoors.

Your volunteer commitment would amount to two-hour shifts, once or twice a month. Meals on Wheels drivers can work alone or with a partner. In fact, many couples enjoy volunteering for this together. Meals on Wheels is a great volunteering opportunity for corporations or other groups, too.
