I am writing today to express my disappointment in your decision to move the local obituaries to the back of the Classifieds section of the Daily Herald. How disappointing it is to see a dearly departed loved one in the back pages of the newspaper like forgotten news. I would think the families of those who have passed would appreciate more thoughtfulness and respect from the Daily Herald when placing death notices in the newspaper.

I wish you would reconsider your choice and move the obituaries back to the front of the Classifieds section of the newspaper. Many readers look for the death notices before they read the local news. I think they would appreciate seeing the obituaries back in their regular spot in the local newspaper each day. Please respect the lives of those who have passed and move the death notices back to the front of the Classifieds section of the Daily Herald.
