RCMP members from Estevan Detachment were called to the scene of a downed small Cessna aircraft at 10:12 a.m. today. The crash occurred near Torquay, Saskatchewan. The only two occupants of the plane were two adult males, and both were confirmed deceased on scene. The aircraft was reported overdue a short time before the scene was located. The investigation is ongoing, and the Transport Canada Safety Board investigation team is involved, to assist in determining the cause of the crash.
More details will be provided as the investigation unfolds. The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of all Next of Kin.

847am - Report of theft from motor vehicle on Henderson Drive. Still under investigation.
1125am - Report of 2 females fighting in front of a business on 101st Street. Both females located, arrested, lodged and charged for being drunk in public.
239pm - Report of a two vehicle collision near Hwy#16, involving a car and a semi truck. No injuries. Vehicle towed.
451pm - Report of a two vehicle collision near 102nd Street and 12th Ave. No injuries. Vehicle towed.
607pm - Police located an intoxicated 48 yr old male on 102nd Street. He was arrested, lodged and charged for being drunk in public.
705pm - Report of a semi truck hitting light post on Railway Ave.
1032pm - Report of a disturbance near the 1500 block of 105th Street. Police attended and arrested a 41 yr old male for failing to comply with a condition of his undertaking. The male was remanded into custody and will appear in court June 16th
1038pm - Report of an intoxicated male trying to enter a residence in the 1600 block of 102nd Street. A 16 yr old male was located and arrested for mischief and for being a minor consuming alcohol. Lodged in cells and released when sober.
1205am - Report of 4 teens in a backyard drinking alcohol. 14 yr old male was locate and charged for minor possess of consumes alcohol. This offence comes with a $360 fine.
1229am - 911 call received about a male had just pointed a firearm at the caller and took off in a vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.
223am - Police stopped a vehicle on Douglas Avenue. The 19 yr old female driver was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. She has now been charged and released for court.
229am - Police stopped a vehicle on Hwy#4 south of North Battleford. The 56 yr old female driver was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. She has now been charged and released for court.
105pm - Report of an intoxicated male in the parking lot of a business on Railway Avenue. A 23 yr old male was located, arrested, lodged, and charged for being drunk in public.
136pm - Report of an intoxicated driver that collided with a vehicle in the 100 block of 101st Street. A 27 yr old male was located, arrested and is now charged for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. He was released when sober.
815pm - Report of a two vehicle collision on Territorial Drive. One driver charged for changing lanes when unsafe.
1003pm - Report of an intoxicated female passed out in the alley. The female was in the 1100 block of 103rd Street. Police attended and arrested a 53 yr old female. She has now been charged for resist arrest, disturbing the peace and failing to comply. She was lodged and released when sober.
1011pm - Report of an intoxicated male at a business in the 900 block of 101st Street. Police attended and arrested a 23 yr old male for being drunk in public and is now charged for failing to comply with his conditions. He was remanded into custody and will be in court June 16th.
1054pm - Report of a collision in the 1000 block of 110th Street. A 23 yr old female was located and arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle and numerous weapons offences. She is being remanded into custody and will be in court June 16th.
444am - Report of possible gunshots heard in the Walker Drive area. Patrols were made. Matter still under investigation.
**MISSING PERSONS UPDATE**
Report of a 14 year old female missing. Serita LONESINGER last seen on 15th Avenue at about 4 pm, was wearing brown pants, black sleeveless shirt, and was carrying a large white hand bag. Her hair was tied back and is blonde and light brown in colour. Several residences were checked overnight without success. Serita LONESINGER has been located in the city of North Battleford and she is safe.
Female - Brianna TAWIYAKA (14 yrs) - still missing/not located
Male - Kyren CAISSE (13 yrs) - still missing/not located
Pelican Narrows RCMP
On Saturday, June 14 at approximately 4:25 a.m., Pelican Narrows RCMP were called to a disturbance of approximately 20 people attempting to smash windows at a residence on Jan Street in Pelican Narrows.
Members who were already at the Pelican Narrows Angelique Health Center for a separate incident were advised that one person was being transported to the center suffering from gunshot wounds. At the same time, other Pelican Narrows members on patrol came upon a victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. A third victim was also discovered suffering from gunshot wounds and both were transported to the Angelique Health Center.
All three victims: a 15-year-old female from Flin Flon, Manitoba, a 14-year-old male from Flin Flon, Manitoba, and a 19-year-old male from Pelican Narrows, were transported by EMS to Flin Flon General Hospital. All three have since been released.
Investigation has revealed that a male had exited the home on Jan Street with a .22 rifle and began randomly firing at a group of people. 29-year-old Travis Alphonse Sewap was arrested shortly after without incident. Members located and seized a .22 rifle nearby.
Travis Alphonse Sewap is charged with:
3 counts of assault with a weapon, section 267 of the Criminal Code
1 count of discharging a firearm with intent, section 244 of the Criminal Code
1 count of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, section 88(2) of the Criminal Code
Travis Sewap will appear in Pelican Narrows Provincial Court on Monday, June 16, 2014.
Alcohol is considered a factor in this incident.
