Prince Albert police have laid charges against three local youth in relation to a June incident involving bear spray.

On June 14 at 3:30 a.m., police attended to the 200 block of 23rd Street East after receiving a report of a bear spray incident.

Officers had been called to the residence approximately 30 minutes earlier for the eviction of a loud party. Police cleared the scene, after which the party resumed and an unknown male suspect released a can of bear spray inside the residence.

A subsequent investigation by police led them to identify and -- as of Wednesday -- lay charges against three Prince Albert teens.

Two males, ages 14 and 15, and one female, age 14, have been charged with break and enter, assault and assault with a weapon.

A court date for one of the youth has been set for Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 9:30 a.m. in Prince Albert Provincial Court.
