It is harvest time, which means motorists should watch for farm machinery on the roads.

Parkland Ambulance

At 2:27 p.m. on Monday, Parkland Ambulance responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 3 West and the Peter Pond Road. Paramedics reported there were no injuries at the scene.

The collision was between a car and a tractor towing farm equipment.

Parkland Ambulance reminds motorists to be careful on the roads as harvest time is a busy season and they may encounter farm equipment being moved.

Motorists are asked to slow down and give farm equipment room to maneuver, as it is large and does not move as quickly as a personal vehicle.

Farm equipment is also very large and may take up a larger portion of the roadway than one single lane, so motorists should also be careful when driving on grid roads to ensure they are seen.

Also be careful when approaching a hill or curve by slowing down and watching for farm machinery.
