Prince Albert police are investigating a Saturday afternoon robbery in which a mother and her son were forced out of their vehicle before it was stolen.

Police responded to the Victoria Hospital at 2:35 p.m. after receiving a report of a robbery that had just occurred.

A 32-year-old woman was parked in her vehicle with her son when a male approached her driver’s door. The male opened the door and forcefully removed her from the vehicle, grabbing the keys from her hands. Her son was also able to exit the vehicle.

Neither the mother nor her son was seriously injured in the incident. The victims were able to make their way into the hospital and advise security, who then called the police.

The stolen vehicle was a four-door, grey 2005 Ford Taurus. The suspect is known to police and the matter is currently under investigation. Police will release more information as it becomes available.
