Paramedics respond to 56 incidents over weekend

As of 1 p.m. on Sunday, Parkland Ambulance Paramedics had responded to 56 incidents over the weekend.

Among the more notable incidents:

- On Friday at 7:30 p.m., paramedics responded to an assault at River Street and Central Avenue. They cared for a 35-year-old man with minor injuries who was then taken to hospital.

- On Saturday at 3:20 a.m., paramedics responded to an assault in the 500 block of Eighth Street East. They cared for a 53-year-old woman with minor injuries before taking her to the hospital.

- At 8 a.m., paramedics responded to an assault in the 1200 block of 17th Street West. They cared for a 17-year-old female with minor injuries who was subsequently transported to hospital.

- At 5:48 p.m., paramedics responded to a motor vehicle collision at 13th Street and 15th Avenue West. At the scene they cared for two people. However, both of the individuals refused transport to the hospital.

- On Sunday at 1:44 a.m., paramedics responded to an assault in the 1000 block of Eighth Street East. They cared for a 41-year-old woman with minor injuries who was then taken to hospital.
