Three charged in home invasion

A man and two women made their first court appearance on Tuesday morning following a home invasion in which the residents were assaulted.

Police were first dispatched on Monday at approximately 7:31 p.m. to a residence in the 200 block of Ninth Street East after receiving a complaint of a home invasion.

The complaint stated that a male and two females had forced their way into the unlocked home and began assaulting people. The suspects physically assaulted two of the residents before fleeing on foot.

None of the victims required medical attention, and police took all three suspects into custody a short distance from the scene.

Gerald Aaron Bear, 27, has been charged with break and enter, assault and one count of breach of undertaking.

Shakira Lucky Ratt, 20, is charged with break and enter, assault and assault with a weapon.

Sharlise Justice Sutherland-Kayseas, 19, is facing charges of break/enter and assault.

All three appeared on Tuesday at Prince Albert Provincial Court.
