Fire department sees busy weekend

The Prince Albert Fire Department reported a busy weekend with nine calls for service between 5 p.m. on Friday and Sunday.

On Friday, firefighters responded to one motor vehicle collision, one service investigation and one unapproved fire pit.

On Saturday, they dealt with two responses to sharp objects in the downtown core as well as one alarm ringing, which turned out to be a false alarm.

On Sunday, firefighters responded to one motor vehicle collision on the Diefenbaker Bridge, one service investigation for a smoke detector battery and one call for a sharp object seen in the parking lot of the Cornerstore Retail property.
